Sara
Before completing Yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala and the Anand Prakash Ashram in Rishikesh Sara worked at leading London studios as a Personal Trainer which has provided her with a deep understanding of anatomy and rehabilitation of injuries. Her background in dance, gymnastics and martial arts, all contribute to her style of teaching. She continually aims refresh her knowledge and understanding of mind-body health in all its forms..

Naoko
Naoko has been practicing Yoga for 20 years and teaching for 8 years. She first came across a Sivananda yoga book at the age of nine and began practicing meditation then. She trained as a Sivananda yoga teacher in 2012 and has been teaching regularly at Energy Yoga as well outside the centre. Naoko is passionate about facilitating the body's ability to re-balance itself naturally, and to that end has undertaken numerous qualifications in complementary therapies: Naturopathy, Thai Yoga Massage and Acupuncture. She has also studied Chi Gong and incorporates this ancient Chinese discipline in her classes with us.

Retheesh
With over 15 years of personal practice, and 8 years teaching experience Retheesh was born and studied extensively in India. He qualified as a teacher at the Sivananda Vedanta Ashram and the Sthalam8 Ashtanga Centre in Mysore working in both Hatha and Ashtanga yoga styles. Following years of personal study he gained a professional qualification to enable to share his love of yoga and to pass on to his students the benefits to be gained from regular practice. He is a dynamic teacher always bringing a sense of fun to his classes.

Akhil
Akhil was born in Kerala, India, where he also trained to teach Yoga. He qualified at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram. He is a genuine and kind yoga teacher whose practice has lead him to explore in detail the origins and application of Yogic knowledge. He is also a qualified Holistic Massage Therapist with the London School of Massage. His interest in holistic therapy comes through in his teaching, allowing the practitioner to experience the benefits directly, personally in a way that is tailored to each student.

Abhinand
Abhinand spent extensive periods of time living, volunteering and teaching at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India. In recent years the emphasis of his training and teaching has been in Ashtanga Yoga. With over 700 hours of teaching qualifications and experience teaching all over the world, Abhinand is a talented and motivated practitioner, and a methodical and attentive teacher. His key aim is to help others to benefit from the practice, as he has. The greatest value for him is the mental peace that comes with practice.

Sally
Sally is a Vinyasa Flow teacher that focuses on pranayama, dynamic movement and meditation. Her first encounter with asana was aged 11 whilst recovering from an injury; experiencing the benefits at such a young age, Sally continued exploring different styles including Ashtanga, Kundalini and Yin. Keen to learn more, she enrolled in a 200 hour Vinyasa teacher training, before attending Drama School and completing her 300 hour in 2020.

Daleesha
A long term Sivananda Yoga enthusiast, Daleesha travelled the world and immersed herself into the teachings of Yoga in India after receiving signs from the universe. During her travels she spent much of her time in nature discovering herself and promised herself she’d share all her valuable lessons and knowledge through yoga once she returned back to UK. She truly believes that yoga is more than just the physical practice and is a way of life. Daleesha loves to take the time in understanding and encouraging her students to be the best versions of themselves. Daleesha creates classes which are a fusion of Hatha Flow and Ashtanga and brings dynamic energy and fun to her sessions.
